Black Uhuru's crucial entry in the canon of live Jamaican reggae. The Grammy-winning group has evolved over the years but this album is essential in understanding that evolution. They were able to keep their sound, despite the rotating main lineup, and this focused energy is on display as they Tear It Up.

MP3 Album: $9.99 Download

Kissin' Dynamite from southern Germany have already been around for eleven years and will release their new studio album "Ecstasy" this summer. It is a pure homage to the way of life called rock 'n' roll. Pure, no-frills or undiluted, "You need neither reinvent the wheel nor convey multiple messages with your songs," says drummer/main lyricist Andreas Schnitzer. "Catchy good-time hooks and enjoyable tunes full of passion - that's our thing and the reason for the group," adds primary songwriter Hannes Braun. Despite some setbacks early on, their dedication to music has never waned, on the contrary: it has just become stronger through a whole book of curious, funny, outrageous and incredible stories. In short: These stories characterize the new record "Ecstasy". Produced by singer Hannes Braun, it is a return to major label glory through it's release via Sony Columbia/Metal Blade. For the first time after multiple headlining tours, Kissin' Dynamite will again travel around as special guests in autumn, namely for POWERWOLF, who are currently breaking all records of success. Kissin' Dynamite are an absolute exception within Germany's musical landscape and in some way the much-quoted breath of fresh air that's often sadly missing.

Mishka's varied musical interests are evident on Above the Bones, but his vocals may be the most captivating element of the album. His striking tenor is mellow and intense with a bluesy quality that gives every word an aching intensity. It's a timeless voice, the familiar sound of a friend you've always known but never met.

Falling between the energetic Pop/Rock of the Mod Revival and the Psychedelic experimentations of Traffic, Ocean Colour Scene came to be one of the leading bands of the traditionalist, post-Oasis British rock of the mid-'90s. The band earned a large following when their second album, Moseley Shoals, became a multi-platinum success story. The band were nothing if not Rock 'N' Roll traditionalists, drawing heavily from British Invasion Pop, Psychedelia, Soul, R&B, and Blues-Rock to create a reverential homage to Classic Rock. Their devotion to trad Rock may have earned them decidedly mixed reviews, but that was the very thing that earned them a sizable following. This release features the best of their session recordings for the BBC recorded between 1990-97. Island.
