Absolutely Free is a trio based in Toronto. The group formulates musical experiments based on instrumentation, compositional structure and other formal qualities ubiquitous to popular rock music. Following years of touring and releasing albums with defunct art punk band DD/MM/YYYY, the members of Absolutely Free set out to create a more hypnotic, patient music that integrates analog electronics, African polyrhythms, psychedelia, Bollywood and Krautrock.

Since 1976 Accept have long been considered one of the most influential bands in heavy metal. Albums like the classics �Balls to the Wall� & �Metal Heart� inspired and influenced a whole new generation of metal bands around the world. The band�s most recent records, �Blood of the Nations� (2010), �Stalingrad� (2012), and �Blind Rage� (2014), have garnered the band a great deal of praise from metal press around the world. Accept�s 15th studio album, �The Rise of Chaos� (2017), was produced by Andy Sneap, like the 3 previous records.

Ace Of Cups, the beloved all-women rock group from the late 60s Haight-Ashbury psychedelic scene, will release their self-titled, debut studio album on November 9th via High Moon Records. Produced by Dan Shea (Santana, Jennifer Lopez), this album includes both newly recorded songs written between 1965 and 1969 and new originals written over the past decade. The record features contributions from friends like Bob Weir (Grateful Dead), Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady (Jefferson Airplane, Hot Tuna), Taj Mahal, Buffy Sainte-Marie, and many more. During their original run from 1967 to 1972, Ace of Cups - Mary Gannon (bass), Marla Hunt (organ, piano), Denise Kaufman (guitar, harmonica), Mary Ellen Simpson (guitar), and Diane Vitalich (drums) - wrote and sang together as one of the area's first all-women bands, and they were known throughout the Bay Area for their instrumental mastery and social commentary-driven rock n roll; Jimi Hendrix even gave them a shout out in Melody Maker after they opened for him at Golden Gate Park. The band never officially recorded any music, and their only release was a 2003 compilation of informal recordings. Ace Of Cups is the first proper showcase of the band's freewheeling spirit that blends multi-colored rock with elements of roots and folk.

Limited yellow vinyl LP pressing in gatefold jacket. Archive release. Before Drive-By Truckers, Mike Cooley and Patterson Hood formed Adam's House Cat in the Muscles Shoals-area of Alabama in 1985. Their songs and friendship was the foundation on which DBT was built. This lost album recorded in 1990 has never before been released. It was remixed by Dave Barbe and mastered by Greg Calbi at Sterling Sound. While Cooley and Hood may have founded Drive-By Truckers in 1996, the two musicians had in fact first come together more than a decade prior. They met on August 1, 1985, the day Hood moved into a dank basement apartment in North Florence, AL shared by Cooley. The two young musicians took notice of each other's guitars and became fast friends, drinking cheap beer and singing songs together on the flat's shabby couch.

Based on live recordings made on a lengthy tour of Italy in 2010, Hazel has been extensively edited and supplemented, but without losing the elemental sound of a group playing live together. Though there's plenty of weird ambient sound to be heard, this isn't a sound effects/pedalboard record. Like the previous en Form for Bla, Noble's drums anchor the music with spare and considered playing, sometimes lashing out with abstract punctuation, and other times laying out a Can-like groove. O'Malley's guitar is also restrained, providing a bed for O'Sullivan's constantly morphing Rhodes, synths and electronic effects. Kristoffer Rygg contributes a rousing vocal incantation to "Ermanna" and peppers the mix with ghostly modular details. Æthenor's catalog continues to be not like anything else out there right now. �Divination/Cleromancy/Comes the card that I refused to see� � The Afghan Whigs, �Oriole� �Cleromancy� isn�t a word one normally finds in rock lyrics. Then again, In Spades � the forthcoming album by The Afghan Whigs, from which the new song �Oriole� hails � is defined only by its own mystical inner logic. The term means to divine, in a supernatural manner, a prediction of destiny from the random casting of lots: the throwing of dice, picking a card from a deck. From its evocative cover art to the troubled spirits haunting its halls, In Spades casts a spell that challenges the listener to unpack its dark metaphors and spectral imagery. On the one hand, In Spades is as quintessentially Afghan Whigs as anything the group has ever done � fulfilling its original mandate to explore the missing link between howling Midwestern punk like Die Kreuzen and H�sker D�, The Temptations� psychedelic soul symphonies, and the expansive hard-rock tapestries of Led Zeppelin and Lynyrd Skynyrd. At the same time, this new record continues to push beyond anything in the Whigs� previous repertoire � another trademark, along with the explosive group dynamic captured on the recording. When the band Agitation Free came together in 1967 as a result of the merging of two Berlin rock groups, one of the most interesting groups in a dawning independent German music scene was created. With their improvisations between rock, jazz and new music, Agitation Free - soon relegated to the not so flattering category of "Krautrock" - made musical forays into areas that few of their fellow German musicians had ever penetrated. At a time when most in Germany were still orienting themselves as closely as possible to Anglo-American musical formats, Agitation Free found a completely new and very original form of musical expression. Starting with their debut album "Malesch" and the album "2nd", Agitation Free delivered a fascinating sound, influenced not least by the manifold impressions from a Near East tour. The band moved toward a form of meta-music, a weaving of exotic-sounding compositions. The album has been justly regarded as a milestone in the genre, especially abroad. Looking back, it's evident that the Agitation Free was one of the most important bands of the experimental circle known as the "Berlin School", and a career springboard for a whole slew of musicians. At the same time, this policy of changing personnel also meant risking that the band couldn't keep itself together over the long run. Agitation Free consciously took this risk in order to remain as close as possible to their own concept - free from commercial pressure or concessions to the latest trends and modes. Collectors item! Daydream is the second album by The Lovin' Spoonful, released in 1966. Don Airey s discography is definitely one of the most impressive for any British musician. It is hard to find a name between all those that in the last 30 years have left a mark in the history of rock that has not worked with him at some point. To name the most obvious of Don Airey s associations: Ozzy Osbourne, Rainbow, Whitesnake, Judas Priest, Gary Moore, Brian May, Uriah Heep, Black Sabbath and, obviously, Deep Purple, the band Don Airey has been a full time member of, for over ten years. Don Airey has never been a session player. Bands and artists have worked with him for his unique musical vision, for the twist he could give to songs. Albums like Rainbow s Down To Earth or Ozzy Osbourne s Bark At The Moon would not have been the same without Airey s chord progressions, solos and his skill to play for the team .It is not difficult to see Don Airey playing with Deep Purple in front of 15.000 people one day, and the next day playing the organ in the church of his beloved local village with the same
concentration and respect for the music and the audience. It is with the same spirit that Don shows no particular effort when moving from the glories of the last two Deep Purple albums (NOW What?! and Infinite , both having benefitted from his very present talent) and the work in clubs with his own band. Some 25 years into his career as a recording artist, ART ALEXAKIS� best-known as the singer-guitarist and sole songwriter behind the iconic alt-rock outfit EVERCLEAR�has started a new chapter in his remarkably prolific career, now as a solo artist. Writing songs and performing all instruments on his own, Alexakis recently began working on compositions that will comprise his first-ever solo album, which he intends to unveil in 2019 via The End Records/BMG. A key driver for Alexakis� solo initiative has been the work/rehearsal/recording space he recently constructed near his home in Southern California. The singer-guitarist�who�s also a husband and father� enjoys an inspiring work-life balance that allows him to conveniently create whenever he likes, quickly shifting back and forth between the studio and home. He uses his studio HQ�which is also Everclear�s rehearsal space�to frequently collaborate with co-producer/engineer Stuart Schenk (Invisible Stars), who is helping Alexakis develop his still-forming solo material. For several years Alexakis has been performing solo shows, dubbed �Songs and Stories,� where the singer-songwriter plays stripped-down acoustic versions of past favorites, while also offering the audiences tales and anecdotes pertaining to those compositions. He says he hopes to showcase new solo material at upcoming acoustic shows, but future live solo performances may expand upon that concept, with backing musicians potentially helping Alexakis recreate the diverse sounds he�s now exploring as a solo artist. Creating outside of the Everclear realm also gives Alexakis the chance to explore styles and sounds that don�t necessarily work for his band. His solo work will continue to push the boundaries of what you can expect from an Art Alexakis composition, as no direction or source of inspiration is really off the table. He cites everything from the Hamilton soundtrack to the great acoustic singer-songwriters as influences for his own writing.

The recording reveals the improvisational side of Be Bop Deluxe, particularly on pieces such as �Shine� and �Blazing Apostles� which made each Be Bop Deluxe concert unique. Any Kind is four friends in two cities making music when the universe brings them together. Their new album, Other, was self-recorded in an old office building in Chicago. From Dub-influenced sample pastiches to ELO pop choruses, the album spans a wide range of influences and sound experiments.

Originally released in 2003 with 30 tracks, UMe has updated the classic Sounds Of Summer compilation by The Beach Boys. The Expanded Edition 6 LP set features 80 key tracks from their storied career (all newly remastered) with 24 new stereo mixes, including two first-time stereo mixes. Limited pressing on 180-gram vinyl with updated photos and liner notes.

Detroit's Apollo Brown and Cali Agent Planet Asia take Side A of this special edition hip-hop vinyl release, while SP1200 wizard Gensu Dean and Motor City MC Guilty Simpson handle all the B-Side tracks.
