Tim Blake - Blake's New Jerusalem [180 Gram] [Remastered] (Uk)

Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce the release of a newly remastered edition of the classic 1978 ambient masterpiece Blake's New Jerusalem by Tim Blake. Tim first came to prominence as a member of Gong, where his synthesizer experimentation and mastery was demonstrated on albums such as Flying Teapot, Angel's Egg and You. He would also join Hawkwind from 1979 - 1980 and from November 2007. After departing Gong in 1975 he teamed up with French lighting designer Patrice Warrener to form Crystal Machine, pioneering the use of lasers and synthesisers in a live setting. Blake's debut solo album, Crystal Machine, was originally released in 1977 on the French experimental label Egg. Tim followed this with arguably his finest work, Blake's New Jerusalem in 1978. Unlike his previous work, the album featured songs and the lengthy title-track would dominate the album's second side. New Jerusalem also featured the guest appearance of Jean-Philippe Rykiel on mini-moog. Tim Blake would later perform both Lighthouse and New Jerusalem as a member of Hawkwind when he joined the band the following year.

Last In Line - II [LP]

Description: Last In Line was formed in 2011, when Vinny Appice, Jimmy Bain, and Vivian Campbell, (Ronnie James Dio s co-conspirators and co-writers on the "Holy Diver", "Last In Line" - the album from which they took their name, and "Sacred Heart albums) teamed up with esteemed vocalist Andrew Freeman. The debut album Heavy Crown was released in February 2016 to critical acclaim. Initially, the release had been preceded by tragedy when bassist Jimmy Bain unexpectedly passed away at the age of 68 on January 23, 2016. Last In Line, honoring what they knew would be Bain s wish to keep the band moving, brought in renowned bassist Phil Soussan (ex-Ozzy Osbourne) and committed to sustained touring in support of the album, hitting festivals, headlining clubs, and sharing the stage with metal luminaries such as Saxon and Megadeth. In late 2017, the band gathered in L.A. to start the recording of the second album, which was produced by the band members and Jeff Pilson (Foreigner, The End: machine, ex-Dokken), who also produced the debut album. Having really gelled as a band while touring in support of the debut album, the songwriting came readily to the members. They ve created a record that shows a big progression in sound, while immediately being recognizable as Last In Line thanks to Vinny Appice s rhythms, thunderous bass from Soussan, amazing vocals from Andrew Freeman, and the roaring guitars of Vivian Campbell.

Tora Tora - Bastards Of Beale [LP]

New studio album from bluesy hard rockers Tora Tora. Features all four original members. In 2017, Memphis rockers Tora Tora were approached by Frontiers Music Srl about recording a proper new studio album and they enthusiastically jumped at the opportunity. The resulting new album, Bastards Of Beale, brings back the magic of the band's blues-rooted hard rock sound that gained them a loyal following upon their debut in the late 80s. Always a far cry from their more polished mainstream peers and more spiritually connected to blue collar hard rock, the band's return picks up where they left off, while not sounding even the slightest bit dated.

Manfred Manns Earth Band - Manfred Mann'S Earth Band

Vinyl LP pressing. The eponymous debut studio album by Manfred Mann's Earth Band was released in January 1972 to much critical acclaim. An exceptional-sounding record, it showed the band utilizing the recording studio to full advantage at the time, while marking a new phase for Manfred Mann as he assembled a band musically superior to other British hard rock and blues influenced groups of the early seventies. While still a couple years away from pop radio success, most notably their version of Blinded By The Light, the Earth Band's debut wad a solid foundation to a career that continues to this day. Manufactured on heavy duty vinyl and remastered, the album is being released under the "Artist Approved" banner, i.e. it is issued with the full approval of the featured artists.

Kevin Garrett - Hoax [2LP]

Double vinyl LP pressing including 16 page booklet. 2019 release. Kevin Garrett twists up soulful tradition with singer-songwriter spirit, lush instrumentation, and alternative adventurousness. The Pittsburgh-born Grammy Award-nominated artist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer echoes the kind of grit meant to be smoothed out only on vinyl and emanates the ambition of a 21st century festival draw on his full-length debut, Hoax. His brand of bold and blunt soul unfolds on singles such as "In Case I Don't Feel" and "Faith You Might."

Roger Glover - Butterfly Ball And The Grasshopper's Feast

After an extensive campaign of expanded reissues from the resurrected Purple Records by Deep Purple's Jon Lord and from Glenn Hughes, Silverhead, Elf and Hard Stuff, Cherry Red are proud to announce the new 2 LP edition of The Butterfly Ball And The Grasshopper's Feast, expanded to a double album for the first time. After leaving Purple in 1973, Roger Glover was asked to compose music to the illustrated book of the same name by William Plomer and Alan Aldridge. His first major project since leaving Purple, Roger was able to enlist many top names to help him realise his vision, including Glenn Hughes, who was then in Deep Purple, as well as Elf's Micky Lee Soule and Ronnie James Dio. As well as the remastered original album, it now features a second LP that includes demos and alternative mixes, the non-album single 'Little Chalk Blue' featuring future Uriah Heep singer John Lawton, plus excerpts from the rare Butterfly Ball Radio Special; a 1974 promo only release where the album's creator and producer, Roger Glover, discusses and explains the story behind the creation of this project.

Don Airey - One Of A Kind [LP]

Don Airey s discography is definitely one of the most impressive for any British musician. It is hard to find a name between all those that in the last 30 years have left a mark in the history of rock that has not worked with him at some point. To name the most obvious of Don Airey s associations: Ozzy Osbourne, Rainbow, Whitesnake, Judas Priest, Gary Moore, Brian May, Uriah Heep, Black Sabbath and, obviously, Deep Purple, the band Don Airey has been a full time member of, for over ten years. Don Airey has never been a session player. Bands and artists have worked with him for his unique musical vision, for the twist he could give to songs. Albums like Rainbow s Down To Earth or Ozzy Osbourne s Bark At The Moon would not have been the same without Airey s chord progressions, solos and his skill to play for the team .It is not difficult to see Don Airey playing with Deep Purple in front of 15.000 people one day, and the next day playing the organ in the church of his beloved local village with the same
concentration and respect for the music and the audience. It is with the same spirit that Don shows no particular effort when moving from the glories of the last two Deep Purple albums (NOW What?! and Infinite , both having benefitted from his very present talent) and the work in clubs with his own band. Always with a big smile on his face as soon as the guitar roars, he is waiting to reply with his Hammond.

One Of A Kind is just that a true classic hard rock gem displaying great melodies, great riffs, great solos and a unique band unity. It has also been recorded using the spirit of a band and therefore features talented prominent band members. Carl Sentence (from the current line-up of British legends Nazareth) is a singer that all fans of rough voices like Rob Halford and Graham Bonnet would love. Laurence Cottle, who has played with Don in the Gary Moore band makes a great rhythm section together with the thunderous talent of Jon Finnegan, evidently loud on stage as much as in life. Last but definitely not least, the incredible talent of Simon McBride, who shows no fear of being compared to the many incredible guitar players Don has played with before. Simon was also part of Ian Gillan s band, together with Don - during the recent tour in East Europe. One song after the other quenches every hard rock fan s thirst, who would make a capital mistake to overlook this album. Available on 2 CD Jewel/180 Gram Vinyl and Digital.

Holger Czukay / Jah Wobble / Liebezei,Jaki - Full Circle

Vinyl LP pressing. Upon examining the eventful life of Can bassist Holger Czukay, one might come to the conclusion that this intrepid musician was a loner. His turbulent career exuded an enduring eccentricity governed by a boundless free spirit. Yet Czukay, who passed away unexpectedly last year at the age of 79, constantly emphasized that his creativity was always contingent upon a musical partner, whether that was a skin-and-bones counterpart or an anonymous manifestation that interacted with him through radio waves or, as happened later, the internet. Nonetheless, most of his partners were of flesh and blood. His oeuvre, which is in itself cinematic in nature, boasts a cast worthy of a Martin Scorsese film. Only the most interesting character actors were cast: Brian Eno, Phew, Rolf Dammers, David Sylvian, Annie Lennox, Jah Wobble, his Can bandmates The list could go on and on. Many of these masterpieces are now out of print, so Groenland Records, which already released the highly acclaimed retrospective CINEMA to mark the occasion of Holgers 80th birthday at the beginning of the year, has taken it upon itself to release reissues of Holgers music in order to make it accessible once again.

The leadoff single and title track “American Rock ‘N’ Roll,” featuring performances by Slash, Mick Fleetwood, and Chad Smith, is available.

The End Machine - The End: Machine [LP]

The End: machine features three members of the classic Dokken lineup, George Lynch (guitar), Jeff Pilson (bass), and Mick Brown (drums), along with former Lynch Mob and current Warrant vocalist Robert Mason.

Blues Traveler - Hurry Up & Hang Around [LP]

Songs that last tell stories. Real magic happens when a cranked guitar chord, wailing harmonica, saucy beat, and soulful vocal conjure up a psychedelic scene, a warm family memory, or a romance-gone-wrong (or -right, for that matter)… Since 1987, GRAMMY® Award-winning multiplatinum rock mavericks Blues Traveler—John Popper [vocals, harmonica], Chan Kinchla [guitar], Tad Kinchla [bass], Ben Wilson [keyboards], and Brendan Hill [drums]—have spun such tales. Moreover, they proudly continue this tradition on their 13th full-length album, Hurry Up & Hang Around. Unsurprisingly, there’s a hell of a story behind Hurry Up & Hang Around. As it goes, 2017 rolled around and marked the boys’ 30th anniversary. What better way to celebrate than to return with an all new body of work? Re-energized and focused, they hit the road for a month, joined forces with Cast Management, and returned to Nashville in order to work with GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Matt Rollings [Willie Nelson]. After five weeks, they came home with the 12 tracks comprising Hurry Up & Wait Around. “It’s our truth,” Popper leaves off. “When you hear this, I hope the songs matter to you. I want to get into your heart. If you enjoy what we’re doing in any way, our mission is accomplished. We’re a family. You’re a part of that.” This story is really getting good now on Hurry Up & Hang Around.

Kevin Griffin - Anywhere You Go [LP]

Kevin Griffin formed the alternative rock band Better Than Ezra in 1988. The band had great success in the 1990s with hits such as “Good,” “In the Blood,” and “Desperately Wanting,” and has continued in the 2000s with hits such as “Extra Ordinary,” “A Lifetime,” and “Juicy.” They continue to tour and produce new recordings, the most recent of which is All Together Now, released in September 2014. Griffin has also produced, written, and co-written songs for other artists, such as Sugarland, James Blunt, Christina Perri, Taylor Swift, Train, Howie Day, Missy Higgins, Daniel Powter, Augustana, Debbie Harry, and Josh Radin. Griffin is credited with having co-written “Stuck Like Glue,” the Mediabase #1 single from the 2010 Sugarland album, Incredible Machine, as well as their subsequent single “Tonight.” Most recently, Kevin co-wrote Tristan Prettyman’s top ten single, “My Oh My.” He also co-wrote and co-produced James Blunt’s “I’ll Be Your Man” from his recent Some Kind of Trouble album. Griffin co-wrote the Top 40 hit “Collide” with Howie Day. He also co-wrote four tracks on Missy Higgins’ debut album, The Sound of White, which included the hit “Scar.” The album went ten times platinum in Australia. Griffin also co-wrote Tristan Prettyman’s single “Madly,” and “Avalanche” on the self-titled, major-label debut of American Idol winner David Cook. Better Than Ezra released their 7th studio album, Paper Empire in May 2009. Kevin co-produced the Album with Producer Warren Huart. Other recent artists Kevin has worked with include Secret Sisters, A Rocket to the Moon, Boys Like Girls, Megan and Liz, Skillet, Shinedown, and Hot Chelle Rae. Kevin co-wrote three songs with Barenaked Ladies frontman, Ed Robertson, on their 2013 album Grinning Streak, two songs on their 2015 album Silverball, and four on their 2017 album Fake Nudes. Kevin Griffin will now release his new solo album ANYWHERE YOU GO on October 4th, 2019 via The End/BMG.

Art Alexakis - Sun Songs [LP]

Some 25 years into his career as a recording artist, ART ALEXAKIS— best-known as the singer-guitarist and sole songwriter behind the iconic alt-rock outfit EVERCLEAR—has started a new chapter in his remarkably prolific career, now as a solo artist. Writing songs and performing all instruments on his own, Alexakis recently began working on compositions that will comprise his first-ever solo album, which he intends to unveil in 2019 via The End Records/BMG. A key driver for Alexakis’ solo initiative has been the work/rehearsal/recording space he recently constructed near his home in Southern California. The singer-guitarist—who’s also a husband and father— enjoys an inspiring work-life balance that allows him to conveniently create whenever he likes, quickly shifting back and forth between the studio and home. He uses his studio HQ—which is also Everclear’s rehearsal space—to frequently collaborate with co-producer/engineer Stuart Schenk (Invisible Stars), who is helping Alexakis develop his still-forming solo material. For several years Alexakis has been performing solo shows, dubbed “Songs and Stories,” where the singer-songwriter plays stripped-down acoustic versions of past favorites, while also offering the audiences tales and anecdotes pertaining to those compositions. He says he hopes to showcase new solo material at upcoming acoustic shows, but future live solo performances may expand upon that concept, with backing musicians potentially helping Alexakis recreate the diverse sounds he’s now exploring as a solo artist. Creating outside of the Everclear realm also gives Alexakis the chance to explore styles and sounds that don’t necessarily work for his band. His solo work will continue to push the boundaries of what you can expect from an Art Alexakis composition, as no direction or source of inspiration is really off the table. He cites everything from the Hamilton soundtrack to the great acoustic singer-songwriters as influences for his own writing.

Besides 6 studio tracks the record contains two live recordings and one demo. Some songs are from their early years, while others are rarities that have never been released before. Nazareth - Fool Circle

Vinyl LP pressing. The Fool Circle is the twelfth studio album by Scottish hard rock band Nazareth, released in February 1981. The Fool Circle is notable for a reggae sound on many of the songs. In an interview bassist Pete Agnew commented: "Fool Circle was the nearest we came to making a concept album, trying to inject a bit of humor into a pretty heavy subject. I think the fact that we recorded it on the island of Montserrat might account for a teeny bit of reggae poking it's way through."

Nazareth - Exercises

Vinyl LP pressing. Exercises is the second studio album by Scottish hard rock band Nazareth, released in 1972. Although their music is most accurately described as "blues-tinged hard rock", this record is quite far from the band's more standard fare, featuring, quite surprisingly, a number of acoustic arrangements, several songs with orchestral strings, and traditional Scottish airs. Indeed, the album's "1692 (Glen Coe Massacre)" is about a real incident in Scottish history, namely, the massacre of Glencoe. The album is also significant for it's Roy Thomas Baker production-only his third project, and well before his breakthrough works with Queen in the mid-seventies-and it's oddly 'new wave' cover-art (designed by CCS Associates).

Angel Pavement - Socialising With Angel Pavement

180 gram 12" vinyl plus bonus 7" single, featuring extensive sleevenotes. Active for roughly four years at the end of the Sixties, Angel Pavement released just two singles in their lifetime - 'Baby You've Gotta Stay' b/w 'Green Mello Hill' in October 1969, followed by 'Tell Me What I've Got To Do' b/w 'When Will I See June Again' in January 1970. Despite numerous high-quality recordings being made at Morgan Studios in Willesden, north-west London, the group failed to obtain a release for their intended album, Socialising With Angel Pavement. Here we reconstruct that LP - initially slated to appear in August 1970 - for the first time.

Peter Howell & John Ferdinando - Ithaca, Agincourt And Other Psych-Folk Fairy Tales [RSD 2019]

If one is aware of high prices on online music sites or is a part of any worldwide record collectors' circles, albums from groups such as Ithaca and Agincourt might sound familiar. Producers, composers, singers and multi-instrumentalists Peter Howell and John Ferdinando are two English musicians who started their partnership in the mid-1960s. From 1968, with the release of their soundtrack for the play Alice Through The Looking Glass, until the release of a project called Friends in 1974, they put together a total of five albums, Ithaca (1973) and Agincourt (1970) being the two most expensive and collectable of all of them. Incredibly rare and highly sought-after for years, the records contained a magical world brimming with folk music, soft psychedelia, psych-pop and progressive overtones; their music is absolutely exquisite and truly unique. It is predominantly folk, but very far from its traditional format. The longer one listens to their legacy, the longer one is going to find peculiar elements of classical gestures plus many flourishes of soft psychedelia, idiosyncratic progressive overtones, acid-folk and a taste that one is always entering the enchanting toy world of psych-pop. It does make total sense that the word "cult" is frequently applied to describe their creations. On Ithaca, Agincourt And Other Psych-Folk Fairy Tales (a 21 track double LP accompanied by a 19 track CD of totally distinct material), one also has the chance to read their own words. Both of them were interviewed for the liner notes, where they reveal their secret influences and their simple but unexpected ways of creating and composing. Be subtle, be daring, and be immersed in the magic world of Peter Howell and John Ferdinando.

Power Of Zeus - The Gospel According To Zeus

Seminal funk-rock album originally released on Rare Earth in 1970. Featuring the monster breakbeat on 'The Sorcerer Of Isis'. Formed in Detroit in 1968, Power of Zeus became the first rock band to be signed by Motown subsidiary label, Rare Earth. The group drew inspiration from British hard rock and heavy metal giants like Cream, Black Sabbath, and Led Zeppelin when they created this well-produced, seminal post-hard rock album. After 'The Gospel According to Zeus', the group never made another album and slipped into obscurity, until it was discovered by the hip hop diggers. The drum beat from "Sorcerer of Isis" has been one of the most sampled in hip-hop music, including KRS-One, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Cyprus Hill, Tribe Called Quest and Eminem to name a few. Half-speed mastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios, London. Transferred from 2 x 1/4" analog reels at 192kHz/24-bit. Official Mr Bongo reissue. Released for Record Store 2019.

Blood Sweat & Tears - Blood Sweat & Tears 4

Limited 180gm audiophile vinyl LP pressing in special tri-fold jacket. Includes printed inner sleeve. Blood, Sweat & Tears' fourth album B, S & T: 4 was written by different band members. The record peaked at #10 on the Billboard Pop albums chart and two singles made their way into the Pop singles chart. The tracks are generally shorter compared to their previous albums. The band moved a little bit to the mainstream direction, offering some impressive performances. Their musical style is still a mix of rock, blues, jazz and folk. The warm atmosphere is recognisable and it is great from beginning to the piano led end, a charming, energetic and lively album. In their almost 50-years of existence Blood, Sweat & Tears covered a lot of famous songs by James Taylor, The Band and The Rolling Stones, among others. They also incorporated different music from artists like Thelonious Monk and Sergei Prokofiev in their songs.

Popguns - Love Junky [Record Store Day]

Love Junky was originally released in 1995 and was The Popguns' third studio album, marking a departure in style away from the more frantic C86 (1986) style featured on their previous albums and sessions. Fans have always loved them for their strong song writing, energetic guitar power-pop and the rich, emotive vocals of lead singer Wendy Morgan.

David Gray - Gold In A Brass Age [2LP]

David Gray announces details for the release of his new album, Gold In A Brass Age. This marks his 11th studio album which is set for release on March 8, 2019. Gold In A Brass Age was produced by Ben DeVries, son of producer and soundtrack composer Marius. The album finds Gray in renewed creative form and arrives just ahead of a run of headline shows in the US and UK. Gold In A Brass Age is defined by an intuitive approach from Gray, exploring new electronic textures and sound palettes, along with new production techniques in the process. David began writing Gold In A Brass Age in 2016 and it was recorded over several months between tours, including a 50 date US tour and a co-headline tour with Alison Krauss in 2017. Using a cut and paste approach to the arrangement of songs, the album's atmospheric and experimental undertones are evident throughout.

Manfred Mann - Radio Days Vol. 1: Live At The Bbc 1964-66

Double vinyl LP pressing. Radio Days - The Paul Jones Era is the first complete collection of existing BBC recordings made by the original Manfred Mann lineup with vocalist Paul Jones between 1964 and 1966. The band join legendary BBC presenter Brian Matthew through the rapidly changing music styles and environment of the mid-'60s. The sessions also feature another legend, bassist Jack Bruce, who was previously with The Graham Bond Organisation and John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. After his stint with Manfred Mann, Bruce would go on to form Cream with Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker. His presence in the group is highlighted on "Long Hair, Unsquare Dude Called Jack" never before officially available. "Radio Days" also includes group and individual interviews. Compiled from BBC recordings featured on the programs "Saturday Swings," "Saturday Club," "Top Gear," Swing Into Summer" and "Pop Inn," this "Radio Days" collection is a fascinating look into how one of the UK's most respected sixties bands promoted their current and upcoming releases and cultivated their fan base. Manfred Mann achieved this by performing new studio versions of their HMV label output along with some unique, BBC-only performances.

Manfred Mann - Radio Days Vol. 2: Live At The Bbc 1966-69

Triple vinyl LP pressing. The second volume of Manfred Mann's BBC recordings, Radio Days - The Mike d'Abo Era, covers the band's Fontana label hitmaking from 1966-1969. The band lineup on this release includes Manfred Mann (keyboards), Mike d'Abo (vocals/piano), Mike Hugg (drums/vibes/piano), Tom McGuinness (guitar), and Klaus Voormann (bass). Highly regarded BBC host Brian Matthew expertly follows the band's development through their increasingly complex pop confections while keeping their sense of humor intact. For such a rapidly changing music environment, Manfred Mann's BBC radio appearances with Brian Matthew and other influential hosts such as John Peel, David Symonds and Tony Brandon, would prove to be essential to the success of their singles. Volume two spotlights the "Saturday Club," "Easy Beat" and "Top Gear" sessions aired on the BBC's "Top Of The Pops" transcription series hosted by Brian Matthew, and some extremely rare off-air recordings have also been included. The changing landscape of 1960s music led the various members of Manfred Mann to record production, songwriting, recording of film scores, commercial jingles and also artist management - all the while continuing to create band recordings. Many of these pursuits are documented in Brian Matthew's incisive interviews. With one exception ("Mighty Quinn"), none of these BBC tracks have been released commercially before.

These previously unreleased recordings are featured on Curiosities.

Buzzcocks - Live [Import LP]

Double 180gm grey colored vinyl LP pressing. Buzzcocks are the punk pioneers as early entrants to the scene, forming in 1976. The 1990 show is the year they reformed after a decade apart featuring the classic line-up of Pete Shelley, Steve Diggle, Steve Garvey and John Maher. The 1992 show saw frontman Steve Diggle and Pete Shelley combine with a new rhythm section. Highlights from this set include classics and new songs; 'Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldn't've), 'Fast Cars', 'Autonomy', 'Moving Away from the Pulse Beat', 'What Do I Get?' and more.

Joe Henry - The Gospel According To Water [LP]

Recording artist, songwriter and 4 time grammy winning producer Joe Henry returns with his 15th studio album as a solo act.

Recorded in just two days in June 2019, and fairly by accident as the intent was to record demos of thirteen new songs.

With only a handful of friends playing in support, Joe entered the studio and tore through these songs with determination and abandon, then went home. The next day he listened and understood that something had transpired that was more than he had bargained for; that the songs as recorded sparked an ember that somehow remained bright and alive before him, moving beyond any sense of expectation he may have held.

The songs were heard as complete and vividly so; the casual circumstances had not limited his expression but in fact liberated him from the cloying aim for posterity that can make weighty any session—and landed him instead in a place both unencumbered by the past and unattached to futures.

These recordings are raw and wirey and spare because the songs insisted they be. In Joe’s mind, these are as “produced”––as anything he's touched, as well as being deeply and fundamentally romantic: accordingly in love with life.

Gang Of Four - Happy Now

Pioneering post-punk band, the Gang of Four were formed in the bricolage punk rock fallout culture of late seventies Leeds - a place where art was a mirror and guitars were machine guns. Gang of Four tore up the template and made sense of the question marks thrown up by year zero. They redesigned rock in the punk aftermath, taking the incendiary energy of the form and crisscrossing it with funk, stripping away the baggage of rock excess and creating a new stripped-down music that was full of agit energy, heavy grooves, shrapnel guitars and politically charged lyrics matching the fervour of the times. Swerving trad rock rhythms, the beats were invented from scratch and every instrument played a pivotal role in the sound in a non-hierarchical structure. In short, they came up with post punk. The band then bounced around the music business releasing a series of albums that have been a direct inspiration to a diverse selection of bands who wanted to deconstruct rock music without losing it's sense of excitement, from the surrounding post-punk generation to the big bands that followed. The Red Hot Chili Peppers, INXS, R.E.M., U2, Rage Against the Machine, Nirvana and Massive Attack have all spoken of their debt to Gang of Four. More recently, the band's influence has become almost universal-now everybody talks about Gang of Four. From Franz Ferdinand to St Vincent, from Sleater Kinny and James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem to Nine Inch Nails: today's creators of angular rock music have GO4's influence and imprint all over them. The band is reaching an urban audience with Frank Ocean sampling them on his latest album and Pharrell name-checking the band in his interviews. Inevitably GO4 disbanded in 1984 but reformed later that decade, since then releasing a series of albums that emphatically demonstrate their capacity for invention and twisting energy. The line-up now includes Thomas McNeice-the bass player joined in 2008-and John 'Gaoler' Sterry, who has supplied vocals since 2011.

Simple Minds - Grafitti Soul

Limited 180gm red vinyl LP pressing. In 2005, Simple Minds announced that Graffiti Soul had been written on location in Rome, Sicily, Antwerp and Glasgow. The band then returned for the first time in almost three decades to Rockfield Studios, near Monmouth in Wales, where the group had originally recorded their earlier albums Real to Real Cacophony, Empires And Dance and New Gold Dream. On it's release in May 2009, the album reached #10 in the UK albums chart. The two bonus tracks include the band's version of Neil Young's "Rockin' In The Free World".

Todd Rundgren - Faithful [White Colored Vinyl]

Limited 180gm audiophile vinyl LP pressing. Includes insert. Todd Rundgren's seventh studio album Faithful can be split into two parts, the first side focusing on classic 1960s psychedelic-era songs, while side two are all songs written by the master himself. The album's group of musicians was exactly the same as his Utopia project during the time of it's release (1976). By celebrating both the past and the future he stood in between the two parts of his career. The covers on side one are re-creations, where Todd faithfully replicated the sound of The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, The Beach Boys, The Yarbirds and Bob Dylan. The second part is full of amazing pop and rock songs, all penned by Rundgren. Both pop fans and people who are interested in the psychedelic area would love this record. Todd Rundgren is an American multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and record producer who has performed a diverse range of styles as a solo artist and as a member of the band Utopia. He is known for his stage outfits, experimental music and adopting computer technologies to describe his musical ideas.

Highlights include; 'Crumbs Off The Table' #7 in the R&B and pop charts, 'Look What You've Done To Love', and 'If It Ain't Love (It Doesn't Matter)' - a Payne/Hunter duet.

Transvision Vamp - Velveteen

Limited 180gm red colored vinyl LP pressing. Transvision Vamp were a genuine international pop supernova of the late '80s. Fronted by the irrepressible Wendy James - pop's very own Halo Jones - whose bad-girl charms were impossible to ignore, and informed by the musical vision of Nick Christian Sayer, their sound and look was a kaleidoscopic whirl of chunky guitar riffs, incandescent pop thrills, razor sharp choral hooks, and vivid comic-book imagery. They crashed the charts like a rock and roll wrecking ball, bagging Gold and Platinum-selling albums in a brief but spectacular reign. Debut album Pop Art was certified Gold, and in 1989, "Baby I Don't Care" hit # 3 in the singles chart, and the accompanying album Velveteen reached # 1, certified Platinum. Follow-up chart singles "The Only One", "Landslide Of Love" and "Born To Be Sold" kept the album in the charts for six months.

Soft Cavalry - Soft Cavalry

Vinyl LP pressing. For Steve Clarke, The Soft Cavalry's self-titled debut album is equally a labor of love, and the first record he's masterminded from start to finish, with invaluable contributions from his wife, Slowdive's Rachel Goswell, on co-vocals and spiritual/practical guidance, and Steve's brother Michael, who produced the record. The band's music is a particularly British brand of intense cinematic drama. Melodic and timeless, the album lands in the atmospheric dimensions between Pink Floyd, Talk Talk and Mansun. A record radiating midlife crisis but equally enormous elation; a helix of fear and hope, aching for resolution. If the album has a theme, reckons Steve, "it's recovery versus new doubt. I'm there, in the middle. The word that kept coming back to me was 'resilience'. With the right mentality and people around you, especially family, we get through, and find a level of hope."

Nazz - The Fungo Bat Acetates

Nazz's second album was to be a double album (as per Todd's wishes), called Fungo Bat. Recording began in Nov 1968 and completed in Spring (March) 1969. Due to band members indifference & management decisions, it was never released as such and Todd left the band to pursue a solo career. Todd's personal copies of the Fungo Bat Acetates were among the possessions lost in a fire at his home. The source of the recordings are from an individual in Austin, Texas, who once owned one of the only known copies of the acetates for Fungo Bat. It was three 12" acetates, with typed labels. The track listing on the acetates are just in order, 24 tracks - if this was indeed the album order, what is listed above is the logical place for album side breaks With Todd Rundgren-guitar; Robert "Stewkey" Antoni- vocals keyboards; Carson Van Osten- bass; THom Mooney0 drums.

Marc Almond - Shadows And Reflections [LP]

<p><span>Marc Almond's new album Shadows And Reflections features sumptuous arrangements of iconic torch songs and 60's orchestral pop for which he is beloved, as well as two new original compositions. The release features songs written or recorded by artists such as Burt Bacharach, The Action, The Yardbirds, Bobby Darin, Julie Driscoll, Billy Fury and the Young Rascals. It thematically begins and ends in an apartment. "It's about this guy that's living in a luxury expansive glass apartment overlooking the city, filled with sculptures and beautiful things, an empty soulless shell, surrounded by absurd wealth," Almond explains. "He is sitting alone and I imagine listening to this music, possibly the songs that make up this album. He's rich in the bank but the poorest person you know." 2017 cements the 60th Birthday year for the singer who the Observer noted, "has never stood still" and follows on the great success of his Top 10 album Hits And Pieces.</span></p>

The forthcoming album is testament to Ryder's reigning social and political commentary. Ryder and Kermit have teamed up with producer Youth (Martin Glover) on this album, who has previously worked with the likes of The Verve, U2, Primal Scream, Guns N' Roses, Pink Floyd and Depeche Mode to name but a few.

Knickerbockers - Rockin' With The Knickerbockers [Colored Vinyl] (Grn)

Limited green colored vinyl LP pressing. Exploding from AM radio speakers everywhere in 1965, The Knickerbockers' "Lies" is a certified '60s classic. Much has been made over it's sonic similarity to the Beatles, particularly the Lennon-esque lead vocals. True, it is remarkable in that regard but what is often overlooked is just how great the song is in it's own right. Written by band members Beau Charles and Buddy Randell, it is a superbly crafted composition that could have been a hit for any number of artists. That the Knickerbockers' ferocious version sounds like it was ripped from the soundtrack to A Hard Day's Night is just gravy. But great as it is, there is so much more to the band's story than their biggest hit.

Luther Dickinson and Sisters of the Strawberry Moon - Solstice [LP]

The stars aligned and the strawberry moon coincided with the 2016 summer solstice. Our recording session felt like a potluck dinner - a group of interesting new friends convened and marveled at what was brought to the table. Oh, a gut-string banjo and a clarinet? Check out this Mississippi bamboo cane fife and funky beats. Is it ok if I sing this harmony? Wow, listen to how our voices blend together. The music came together and flowed organically, as did the band name. The Sisters of the Strawberry Moon passed the mic, family style, backing each other up with sympathy and empathy, enjoying their new found chemistry. With instruments as ingredients and songs as recipes, the Sisters of the Strawberry Moon stirred up lovely new concoctions as well as fresh interpretations of family heirloom songs we hold dear. We believe music is a celebration of life and folk music an expression of community and family, and Solstice is an artifact of our new friendship and musical fellowship.

The Black Lillies - Stranger To Me [LP]

The Black Lillies are back! They are a mainstay on radio and album sales charts, with a sound that is as powerful in the quieter moments as it is explosive during the jubilant ones. The band's pared down configuration has resulted in a bigger, deeper sound built on undeniable chemistry, lush three-part harmonies, and instrumental virtuosity with a funky edge.

The Dandy Warhols - Why You So Crazy [LP]

Vinyl LP pressing. The release of their tenth studio album, Why You So Crazy sees The Dandy Warhols return in singularly freewheeling fashion, careening through classically off-kilter psych-pop ("Be Alright"), high country-fried Americana ("Motor City Steel"), and gothic piano-propelled rumbas ("Forever"). Packing in references as far flung as Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, Don MacLean's Chevy, and the church of Bowie's "Modern Love," these 12 songs reflect the band's surrealist visions of an alternate reality. Uncle Walt's Band - Uncle Walt's Band [LP]

• Texas music legends. • Remastered reissue features eleven previously unissued bonus tracks. • New liner notes include a history of all the 1970s reissues and their variations. “Walter Hyatt, David Ball and Champ Hood have been an inspiration to me ever since the first time I heard Uncle Walt’s Band,” said Lyle Lovett, a journalism student at Texas A&M University when he first heard the band. “Musically, their finely crafted original compositions reflect diverse influences, while lyrically they demonstrate a sensitive, sophisticated understanding of the dignified South.” Uncle Walt’s Band, from Spartanburg, South Carolina, was an eclectic music trio that moved to Nashville in 1972 and shortly thereafter, to Austin at the urging of Willis Alan Ramsey. An attempt at an album with Ramsey at the helm was unsuccessful, so the band headed back to Spartanburg in 1974 to produce their own debut LP, Blame It On The Bossa Nova. One thousand copies of the original self-released vinyl were pressed, sold through performances and self-promotion, disappeared quickly. Heat was gaining for the band, so they headed back down to Austin with a reissued album now titled, Uncle Walt’s Band. (Original pressings of Blame It On The Bossa Nova change hands for hundreds of dollars these days). While the album gained many fans and followers, it wasn’t enough to sustain the band’s larger ambitions. After a hiatus a second album, An American In Texas was released in 1980 followed by a live album, Recorded Live in 1982. (a cassette-only release of studio sessions, 6-26-79 was also released along the way). Gaining the love of Texas music fans, performing regularly throughout the state, yet unable to get traction nationally, they called it quits in 1983. Although remaining friends and working on various projects over the years, each went on to pursue solo music careers. Hyatt release several albums, plus performed on Austin City Limits. Hood became a Texas Music Hall of Fame sideman playing for artists like Lyle Lovett, Jerry Jeff Walker and more, and Ball’s success with the hit, “Thinkin’ Problem” established him as a Country music star. Following the first-ever, career-spanning Anthology: Those Boys From Carolina, They Sure Enough Could Sing, Omnivore is now proud to present a deluxe reissue of the original Uncle Walt’s Band album, expanded with eleven bonus tracks and remastered. New liner notes include a history of each re-pressing of this private press classic (reissued no less than six times with different covers and sequence variations back in the ’70s)! If you were one of the lucky owners of an original that you’ve worn out across the years, here’s your chance to retire that well-loved copy and double the fun discovering the new bonus tracks. For the rest of us, it’s the opportunity to own the classic!

They ve created a record that shows a big progression in sound, while immediately being recognizable as Last In Line thanks to Vinny Appice s rhythms, thunderous bass from Soussan, amazing vocals from Andrew Freeman, and the roaring guitars of Vivian Campbell.

ork - Ramagehead

Vinyl LP pressing. A band of rock legends and some of contemporary music's most revered creators, O.R.k. have combined forces once again for a new studio album and first for the ground-breaking UK label Kscope. The band are: Lef (lead vocals), King Crimson's Pat Mastelotto (drums), Porcupine Tree's Colin Edwin (bass), Marta Sui Tubi's Carmelo Pipitone (guitars) and extra special guest and Grammy Award-winner Serj Tankian of System of a Down (vocals), who is undoubtedly one of metal's greatest and most renowned vocalists. Ramagehead is a product of the band's collective mutual vision, unique influences and a multi-layered reflection of their powerful and engaging live experience. The recordings, and inclusion of Tankian, announces the band's serious intent to use their individual musical chemistry in exploring the hard-edged possibilities within rock. The album was written following their headline European tour in support of second studio album Soul of an Octopus and is a distillation of their live performances. The result contains all the ingredients of a fiery O.R.k. performance with dark and heavy riffing, mesmeric atmospheres and lyrics that reveal the band's bewilderment brought about by our modern world: a world of information overload, of uncertainty and post-truth messages.

Richard Pinhas - Iceland

Originally released in 1979, Iceland is Richard Pinhas' third solo album and his first following the breakup of Heldon. While moving away from the maximalism of his old band, paring down Heldon's hybrid of otherworldly sci-fi imagery and pummeling psych-prog riffs, the journey through Iceland is decidedly more inward.Consisting of longer, brooding synth-based pieces as well as short proto-industrial études and interstitial sketches, Iceland features Pinhas' delay-ridden electric guitar, pulsating machine rhythms and analog synthesizer washes-all vivid in texture and timbre, notwithstanding an undeniably chilling ambience. This first-time vinyl reissue includes Wintermusic," an immersive 25-minute bonus track recorded in 1983 and appearing here on vinyl for the first time. Pinhas' excursions channel the season's stillness and sublimity, it's majesty and it's threat. Without a doubt, one his finest moments.Recommended for fans of Cluster, Mica Levi and Fripp & Eno.

Gary Hoey - Neon Highway Blues [LP]

Gary Hoey will release his new blues album NEON HIGHWAY BLUES on March 15, 2019 on Provogue Records. Starting with 2013's DEJA BLUES and continuing with 2016's DUST & BONES, Hoey has tapped into his early musical influences and applied his own feral skills to take the format in a unique direction. He stays in the same lane on his latest endeavor, NEON HIGHWAY BLUES, steering its 11 tracks with the confidence and assuredness of a veteran and the freshness of someone who's still in the process of discovery and refinement -- with the help of famous friends such as Eric Gales, Lance Lopez, Josh Smith and Hoey's 17-year-old son Ian. "I really wanted to make sure this album had a lot of blues on it," says Hoey, who self-produced NEON HIGHWAY BLUES and recorded it at his home studio in New Hampshire. "It's funny because sometimes you can set out to do a blues record and halfway through you realize there's not actually that many blues songs. So I keep sticking to the blues and tried to get that to be a strong part of this record -- and still put some other songs there that the die-hard, long-time fans would like, some instrumentals and some rockin' stuff. There's definitely a variety here." Hoey is confident listeners will hear growth and stretches throughout NEON HIGHWAY BLUES. This album will take Hoey back on the highways and byways for plenty of touring and playing, well, the blues -- and more.

Witch - Salem's Rise

The inaugural release in Gotta Groove Records' OH Wax series is the 1985 album by Dayton, Ohio's Witch - entitled Salem's Rise, originally self-released through the label Eargasm Productions. Notes from original executive producer and founder of Eargasm Records, Tim Grogean: Ted George and I were introduced in 1984 when he came to my studio in Dayton Ohio asking me to Produce a single for him. He was a shredding guitarist and song writer from Versailles Ohio. Ted yearned to write an album and I was looking for a project to present to larger Record companies in LA and NY. Songwriting and rehearsals started in Versailles Ohio, many nights jamming in the basement of brothers Tony and Dave Chappie. Tony on drums and Dave on Bass were completed by Ted and vocalist Ace Mathews. Pre-production was done at Eargasm studios. Many of long nights and heavy parties ensued for then next month as the band hammered out the 10 songs on Witch "Salem's Rise". The instruments fell in very solid with Ted's fast guitar work and solid rhythm section. The recording at Audio Productions in New Carlisle Ohio had Tim and Mike Niklas engineering. Tim was the Executive Producer as well as assisted in song writing and guitar. It was Mastered at QCA in Cincinnati, Ohio (where it was also originally manufactured on vinyl as well). Tony Chappie and I wrote the drum solo and incomparable pianist Larry "LD" Hampshire again came to Ted's side for the keyboards. Most of the musicians involved continued to play and record to this day. Ted went on to front many bands and work with artists like Rick Derringer. He is now known as "Fast Eddie" due to his freakish speed on the guitar. The Chappie brothers eventually became businessmen, and less is known about the future for singer Ace Mathews. "LD" continued to play in bands with Tim and record in Dayton area studio's. I went on to work with bands like Rush, Sponge, Days of the New, Sun; and I continue to record and tour in my band Amplified.

Adam's House Cat - Town Burned Down [Yellow LP]

Limited yellow vinyl LP pressing in gatefold jacket. Archive release. Before Drive-By Truckers, Mike Cooley and Patterson Hood formed Adam's House Cat in the Muscles Shoals-area of Alabama in 1985. Their songs and friendship was the foundation on which DBT was built. This lost album recorded in 1990 has never before been released. It was remixed by Dave Barbe and mastered by Greg Calbi at Sterling Sound. While Cooley and Hood may have founded Drive-By Truckers in 1996, the two musicians had in fact first come together more than a decade prior. They met on August 1, 1985, the day Hood moved into a dank basement apartment in North Florence, AL shared by Cooley. The two young musicians took notice of each other's guitars and became fast friends, drinking cheap beer and singing songs together on the flat's shabby couch.

Bevis Frond - We're Your Friends Man [Download Included]

Vinyl LP pressing. Docking alongside the Mothership Frond, with it's insignia emblazoned with the legend We're Your Friends, Man, you can hear a smattering of Hendrixonian guitar wafting through the cavernous recess of this vessel. You can hear a Love-like strum, a melancholy verse/chorus; you can hear proper songs with uplifting guitar salvos releasing the pressure on the thinking man's pontifications on growing old, putting things in order and the sense of wonder of how we all got here. This is The Bevis Frond's umpteenth mission, like Dark Star troopers they know the drill and in epic soundtrack proportions they clock in with just under 90 minutes of grown up angst, a semi-autobiographical romp from the director who has an eye for this; nothing short of a genius auteur. To the point, on the money; it's dramatic, plucking at the heart strings, spilling one liners, milking the past and crafting something completely new.

The Flesh Eaters - I Used To Be Pretty [2LP]

One of Los Angeles punk rock’s most widely admired yet little-heard bands makes a striking return to records on Jan. 18, as Yep Roc Records issues an all-new collection by The Flesh Eaters, I Used to Be Pretty.  On the release, founding vocalist and songwriter Chris Desjardins — better known as Chris D. — is backed by the legendary “all-star” edition of the band, originally heard on the 1981 set A Minute to Pray, A Second to Die: Dave Alvin (guitar) and Bill Bateman (drums) of the Blasters; John Doe (bass) and D.J. Bonebrake (marimba and percussion) of X; and Steve Berlin (saxophones) of the Plugz (and later the Blasters and Los Lobos). The album was produced collectively by the band members.

Arthur Buck - Arthur Buck [Indie Exclusive Limited Edition Colored LP]

Sometimes the catalyst for creating great art is simply being in the right place at the right time. For Arthur Buck, the new collaboration between singer-songwriter Joseph Arthur and guitarist Peter Buck, that place was Mexico, and that time was the fall of 2017.  Specifically, a little town off the Baja coast named Todos Santos, with the Sierra de la Laguna mountains to the east and the bright blue Pacific stretching out infinitely to the west. It is here that Buck has, for the last several years, held the Todos Santos Music Festival, which he created with his wife, Chloe Johnson, in 2012, shortly after R.E.M. called it a day. Among the many artists who have played the festival is Joseph Arthur, who also happened to leave behind a guitar—a Dobro, specifically—after his last appearance there. And so last year he made the trek down to Todos Santos to pick up the instrument. Which is where he ran into Peter Buck.

That was the beginning of Arthur Buck. The creative result of this relationship is a vibrant 11-song collection that captures the spontaneity at the heart of the project—right down to the 1-2-3-4 count off from Buck that opens the record—with sounds and styles meshed together in an easy, almost playful manner. Tchad Blake was brought in to mix the proceedings, and the result is the new Arthur Buck—the result of a shockingly productive burst of inspiration.

Everlast - Whitey Ford's House Of Pain [Import LP]

Double vinyl LP pressing. 2018 release. Platinum-selling artist Everlast returns with his first full-length studio album of original material since 2011's Songs of the Ungrateful Living. Known to most fans for his single What It's Like and as the frontman of House of Pain (Jump Around). Received a Grammy Award in 2000 for his collaboration with Santana.

Mikaela Davis - Delivery [LP]

A joyride that pulls from folk rock, 70s and 80s pop experimentation, and muscly funk, Delivery manages to be both daring and comfortable, full of not just risks, but hooks. This debut album from indie rock harpist, Mikaela Davis delivers messages of resilience and the idea of embracing what makes you unique. Produced by Grammy winner John Congleton (St. Vincent, Angel Olsen, David Byrne, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah) and with guest appearances by The Staves, Delivery features 10 original songs, that pulse, swell, dance, and bewitch.

Alex Chilton - From Memphis To New Orleans [LP]

Some know Alex Chilton as the lead singer of the Boxtops who had a number one hit in 1967 with “The Letter,” others know him from the majestic Beatlesque pop of Big Star or as the name in a song by the Replacements (“Children by the millions sing of Alex Chilton…”) Others know him as the songwriter of the theme song for That 70s Show. He was at the height of his cult star fame in the mid 1980s when he made these recordings. It is some of his best most honest work oddly neglected for some time but delivered here for enthusiasts and neophytes alike. Includes B-A-B-Y, Guantanaamerika, Let Me Get Close to You and many more.

Alex Chilton - Songs From Robin Hood Lane [LP]

Alex Chilton, lead singer for the Boxtops and Big Star made these recordings of jazz standards in the 1990s. Many he heard in the 1950s growing up in a house full of music on a street called Robin Hood Lane in Memphis, Tennessee. Included are many rare and previously unreleased songs from the Great American Songbook: "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying," "Time After Time," and "My Baby Just Cares For Me."

Here Comes Charley Musselwhite's Southside Band in 1966 with Charlie Musselwhite.

Accept’s 15th studio album, “The Rise of Chaos” (2017), was produced by Andy Sneap, like the 3 previous records.

Citizen Cope - Heroin And Helicopters [LP]

Comprised of 11 new, original songs all written and produced by Citizen Cope - AKA Clarence Greenwood - Heroin & Helicopters marks a return to Cope s grassroots approach to musicianship, one that is colored by hard work, hustle and heart, irrespective of the obstacles he s encountered throughout his more than 25 years as a career artist. Citizen Cope came up with the title Heroin & Helicopters after an encounter with Carlos Santana, who has been a Citizen Cope fan since before their 2002 collaboration on his rework of the Cope song Sideways. Santana was at a Citizen Cope show at San Francisco's Fillmore when he told Cope to "stay away from the two H s - heroin and helicopters," saying both had fatal results for people in music. To Cope, the quote reflected a larger pattern in society - a metaphor for addiction and instant gratification, both themes that thread throughout the record. The album tackles Cope s personal struggles with religion, political manipulation, hollowness in the entertainment world, and spiritual enlightenment, as he contends with his own role in those societal institutions.

Belle Adair - Tuscumbia [LP]

The breezy jangle of "Get Away," the opening track off Belle Adair's striking new album, Tuscumbia, might not be the first thing you'd expect to hear from an Alabama band named after a John Steinbeck reference. Combining mellow, atmospheric rock and swirling, retro power-pop, it's more Big Star than Swampers, but it's an ideal gateway into the blissed-out world of Belle Adair, a group that manages to make even worry and isolation sound inviting. Recorded at Muscle Shoals' legendary FAME Studios with Wilco producer/engineer Tom Schick, Tuscumbia calls to mind everything from The Byrds to Teenage Fanclub as frontman Matthew Green's meditative lyrics navigate a slew of major life changes, contemplate the meaning of home, and grapple with the realities of life on the road.

The Rembrandts - Via Satellite [LP]

Let's get this out of the way first: The Rembrandts the pop-rock duo of multi-instrumentalists and songwriters Phil Solem and Danny Wilde co-wrote and performed the effervescent Friends theme song, "I'll Be There For You." That song, with its inimitable handclaps and jangly guitar riffs, spent eight weeks at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart and continues to find new audiences thanks to Friends reruns. However, for Solem and Wilde, that song is just one small chapter in a friendship and creative relationship spanning four decades, two bands, five studio albums, two greatest hits records, a handful of U.S. radio hits, and two U.S. Top 40 singles. "Via Satellite" is the first Rembrandts studio album in 18 years. The meticulous, guitar-driven songs explore every nook and cranny of the pop continuum. "How Far Would You Go" is jangly rock singed lightly with '60s psychedelic atmosphere; "Broken Toy" hews toward dizzying power-pop with hollering vocals awash in emotional grit; and "Come to Californ-i-ya"" is electrified roadhouse blues-rock burnished by glam-soul detailing. Anchoring these songs are Solem and Wilde's harmonies, which are imploring and tender on the twangy "Count On You"; Beatles-esque on the jaunty "Me And Fate"; and graceful spirals on the chiming mid-tempo ballad "Now."

Black Grape - Pop Voodoo [LP]

Album opener and tease track 'Everything You Know Is Wrong - Intro' sees the band launching into a statement of intent and the return of Shaun Ryder's lyrical wit, which this time sees him taking sharp aim at Donald Trump. Widely regarded as one of the most innovative and iconic bands of the last twenty years, Black Grape have had 4 Top 10 singles and their debut album, 'It's Great When You're Straight… Yeah', shot straight to No.1 in the UK charts upon its release in 1995 and went Platinum.

Known for their captivating blend of rock & roll and country, they have become one of Americana music's biggest success stories: an internationally-renowned band of roots-rockers, armed with songs that blur the boundaries between the genres.

Mark Morton - Anesthetic [LP]

Not only topically relevant in 2019, The Medicine Show further solidifies Etheridge’s in the current music scene and reminds us why Etheridge has remained one of America’s favorite female singer-songwriters for more than two decades.

Ace Of Cups - Ace Of Cups [LP]

Ace Of Cups, the beloved all-women rock group from the late 60s Haight-Ashbury psychedelic scene, will release their self-titled, debut studio album on November 9th via High Moon Records. Produced by Dan Shea (Santana, Jennifer Lopez), this album includes both newly recorded songs written between 1965 and 1969 and new originals written over the past decade. The record features contributions from friends like Bob Weir (Grateful Dead), Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady (Jefferson Airplane, Hot Tuna), Taj Mahal, Buffy Sainte-Marie, and many more. During their original run from 1967 to 1972, Ace of Cups - Mary Gannon (bass), Marla Hunt (organ, piano), Denise Kaufman (guitar, harmonica), Mary Ellen Simpson (guitar), and Diane Vitalich (drums) - wrote and sang together as one of the area's first all-women bands, and they were known throughout the Bay Area for their instrumental mastery and social commentary-driven rock n roll; Jimi Hendrix even gave them a shout out in Melody Maker after they opened for him at Golden Gate Park. The band never officially recorded any music, and their only release was a 2003 compilation of informal recordings. Ace Of Cups is the first proper showcase of the band's freewheeling spirit that blends multi-colored rock with elements of roots and folk.

They ve created a record that shows a big progression in sound, while immediately being recognizable as Last In Line thanks to Vinny Appice s rhythms, thunderous bass from Soussan, amazing vocals from Andrew Freeman, and the roaring guitars of Vivian Campbell.

ork - Ramagehead
