In the pantheon of great Chicago pianists Sunnyland Slim is up there with the greats like Otis Spann, Pinetop Perkins, Lafayette Leake and several others.
Although he never enjoyed huge selling records he was a jukebox favourite and recorded consistently for numerous Chicago based labels throughout his long and influential career.
